Sales Manager, Banking Solutions

CARITech is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our banking solutions sales team in Africa and the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking solutions sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing client relationships in these regions. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base for banking solutions in Africa and the Middle East.

  •  Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to ensure high performance and achievement of sales goals.

  •  Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting, networking, and building relationships with key stakeholders in the banking and financial services sector.

  •  Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

  •  Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to align offerings with market demands and enhance customer satisfaction.

  •  Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients, showcasing the value of our banking solutions.

  •  Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the client.

  •  Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

  •  Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer retention and identify opportunities for upselling and cross selling.

  •  Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to banking solutions. Training and Development: Provide training and support to internal teams on vendor management best practices and tools.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales management role within the banking solutions sector, specifically in Africa and the Middle East.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive environment.

  • Strong understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory frameworks in the African and Middle Eastern markets.

  • Experience in managing and developing high performing sales teams.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on results and customer satisfaction.

  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools to track performance and manage client relationships.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to the diverse business practices and customs in Africa and the Middle East.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a customer centric approach.
